This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
i stayed up until 3 am last night posting my poetry. because i was so tired and severely irritated with the stupid categories assigned for submitting art, i forgot to set all of them to comments/critiques disabled.
dont get me wrong, i appreciate everyone's comments (good and bad - well maybe not the fucker who just said one of them 'sux'), but that wasn't why i posted my poems. so ill say why again - i only posted my poetry for archival purposes only.
someone commented that one of my poems was disorganized. since i disabled comments, i will respond here:
1) i labeled the poem under the open category, which by definition means the poem has no organization. the only structure it does have is 4 line sequences, and a rhymning scheme that abruptly cuts off.
2) the way i write is stream of consciousness which doesn't have any organization.
i believe very strongly that the criticism of poetry and prose is completely pointless. i believe that authors and creators create everything on purpose. every word, every stroke, every choice is on purpose. and that doesnt need to be criticised. the end product is exactly what the maker intended the audience to see. one of the many examples i use of this is a dubbed version of any movie or tv episode.
so i will never go back and change anything that i have written. i wish it to stay the way i wrote it many years ago. in other words, i dont want to dilute my 15 year old mind set with an increased vocabulary and better understanding of the english language at 22 years old. its just stupid and destroys the point.
so when i hear that my poem was disorganized, i suppose my reply would be yes and no. apparently my mind was in disarray at the time of writing but i also purposely wrote without later going back and reorganizing anything.
next time ask yourself before citicising something, was this on purpose or not?
I must complament your poetry. It's very haunting and sends a shiver up my spine when I read it. You say what many think but don't dare to express. Again, my complaments.
